I’ve been dedicated to the senior living industry for nearly 20 years. I began my career as a caregiver and have since held multiple roles in assisted living, memory care, and independent living settings. Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to learn and grow in so many different areas of senior living, but the part I value most is the people and the relationships I’ve built along the way.
After losing my grandparents, I found an even deeper appreciation for the time I get to spend with the older adults I serve. I often describe senior living as my own “Grandma and Grandpa Heaven.” I get to spend my days with incredible people, hear their stories, learn about their lives and experiences, and hopefully give back some of the love and joy they have to share.
I also truly enjoy helping my staff grow in their careers. I love watching people discover their strengths, gain confidence, take on new challenges, and grow into new roles. Being able to support and encourage my team along their own career journeys is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do.
To me, senior living is about so much more than providing care. It’s about the little things—a smile, a conversation, a helping hand, or simply taking the time to listen. I truly believe in what a smile can bring to someone’s day and the impact those small moments can have on both residents and their families.
I live in Essexville with my husband, Brendan and our six children, Hannah, Matthew, Andrew, twins, Jayden and Ethan, and our youngest Elizabeth . Outside of work, I enjoy attending my kids’ sporting events, camping, and spending as much time as possible making memories with my family.
